Welcome to the Fire Smoke Coalition Smoke Inhalation Treatment Database

Nearly 30,000 US citizens died from smoke inhalation in a ten-year period. Smoke inhalation is a complicated illness that can be medically treated – with a new rational approach that includes a presumptive diagnoses of cyanide toxicity due to the change in fire smoke. This Smoke Inhalation Database will be used and studied by first responders and medical providers to assess various treatment methods, i.e., what was successful and what was not, with the ultimate goal of reducing smoke inhalation deaths.
